Profile and skills summary
Upon graduating university, I took the helm of the small family business specialized in the importation and distribution of marble stone funeral products. I did not like working alone, and sold the company two years later.
My passion is about business technology management, more precisely the use and valorization of data, and the role it can play in the achievement of business objectives. Of interest to me is to find ways of using technology to solve business problems, seize opportunities, and generally support the company's strategies. The modern digitization of our surrounding world brings immense opportunities to firms who will master and take advantage of the gigantic flow of data and information available.
I tend to be more a generalist than a specialist. During my time into academia, an interest into the multiple functions of companies provided me with a great sense for the big picture. I like to reflect how the different departments contribute to the business strategy. With or without the help of technology.
I spent quite a lot of time programming in Python and SQL. Practicing web scraping techniques, analyzing data, and building business intelligence reports. I also managed to automate a few business processes using computer programming. Another interest I got is web programming. I am now studying and sharpening my skills in Python to build machine learning predictive models that will make predictions from datasets.
What I don't know, I learn it quickly.
